The Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection presented modernized deposition measurement station located in the Kampinos National Park, which was equipped with new devices as part of the project entitled “Strengthening of atmospheric deposition assessment in Poland based on Norwegian experience”.
On 5 March, during the summary conference, the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection presented the outcomes of the project entitled “Strengthening of atmospheric deposition assessment in Poland based on Norwegian experience” funded by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014–2021 (EEA FM 2014–2021).
Meanwhile, on 6 March, experts from the Department of Environmental Monitoring and the Central Research Laboratory of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection continued the presentation of the project outcomes, visiting one of the deposition measurement stations operating within the new measurement network.
The Kampinos measurement station, located in the village of Granica on the edge of the Kampinos National Park, was chosen as the site for the visit. The modernized station was incorporated into Poland’s new system for measuring and assessing atmospheric deposition, with a very wide range of substances tested, including selected persistent organic compounds, inorganic compounds and heavy metals. As part of the visit, a meeting with the media was held, during which experts from GIOŚ answered questions about the station and the measurement system.
